Florence and the Machine meets Little Dragon with the remix-ability of Ellie Goulding and MGMT, Foxes has a sound that’s catchy and familiar. A beautiful combination of synthesizer and piano over a war drum style beat creates a common theme across the Youth EP.
The title track is a beautiful and even uplifting number with a heavy but ambient digital intro building up to the chorus, which nails without reservation. Rather than cut straight to the chase the song fluxuates up and down, at its softest point it features only Allen over a piano, followed by a driving instrumental break.
